Pap Smear Test

Also known as a pap test, it is considered a screening procedure that helps your doctor check for changes in the cells of your cervix with a medical instrument called a speculum.

New Concept Clinic, a Gynaecology Hospital in Dubai, suggests following the below-mentioned guidelines for scheduling pap smears.

  1. Underage 21: No pap smear is needed.
  2. Underage 21–29: Begin with having a pap test every three years.
  3. Underage 30–65: Appear for co-testing, including a pap smear every 3 years, and an HPV test every 5 years.
  4. Above age 65: No pap smear is required, apart from if you have had negative results in the past.
